The objective of this survey is to take stock of the property microinsurance products that exist globally, together with their features. For the purpose of this survey, property microinsurance could be any product that covers buildings, contents, business inventory, and equipment against loss from specified risks and is targeted at the low-income market. The insights generated from this survey will be shared with participants as well as inform the Kenya Property Microinsurance Feasibility study, a study commissioned by Habitat for Humanity International's Center for Innovation in Shelter and Finance to determine the business case for property microinsurance in Kenya. The study is supported by Swiss Re and implemented by Bankable Frontier Associates (BFA), with funding from the Swiss Capacity Building Facility.
